Professional Activities

Thomas N. Yeager is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Kent County Bar Association of which he is a past President. He is also a past President of the Maryland Municipal Attorney’s Association and a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association. He served as a member of the Governor’s Executive Advisory Council on Criminal Justice Matters from 1991 to 1995; and served as the legal advisor to the Kent County Narcotics Task Force from 1991 to 1996 and in 1998. Mr. Yeager is a past member of the National District Attorney’s Association and the Maryland State’s Attorney’s Association. From 2003 to 2007, he served as a member of the Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission. He is the County Attorney for Kent County, and is currently the President of the Maryland Association of County Civil Attorneys. He is the Town Attorney for the municipalities of Betterton, Galena, Cecilton, Chesapeake City and Sudlersville,  Maryland, and is the attorney for the Kent County Department of Social Services. He is a fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation and currently serves on the Section Council of the State and Local Government Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. Mr. Yeager is also an accomplished radio broadcaster and on-air host. For 25 years he was heard weekends on WCEI 96.7 FM in Easton, and is currently heard on WCTR 106.9 FM in Chestertown.
